Community Guidelines
We are thrilled to see the MyLocalJobs community grow and thrive.
It is important to us that the MyLocalJobs platform and services (collectively, the Platform) remains a safe, fair, respectful and reliable place for this community.
These guidelines outline the minimum behavioural standards that we expect from both job seekers and employers using the Platform (Community Guidelines).
1. Conduct that is prohibited on the Platform
The following conduct is prohibited on the Platform:
- posting or communicating unlawful, age-restricted or harmful material such as material depicting, describing, inciting, promoting or instructing in:
- child sexual exploitation;
- terrorism;
- crime and violence;
- drug use;
- pornography; or
- suicide and self-harm;
- engaging in bullying, abuse or harassment such as by posting or communicating material that is abusive, threatening, intimidating, harassing, humiliating, menacing, offensive, vulgar, obscene or indecent;
- engaging in conduct which is hateful or discriminatory such as by posting or communicating material that is racist, sexist, ableist, ageist, homophobic, transphobic, anti-Semitic or Islamophobic; and
- engaging in other unlawful or inappropriate conduct such as by posting or communicating material that is defamatory, fraudulent, misleading or deceptive, breaches privacy or confidentiality or infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
The references above to posting or communicating material include providing hyperlinks to such material.
2. How to report a violation of these Community Guidelines
If you believe that another user of the Platform may have violated these Community Guidelines, please report it to us as soon as possible.
To do so, please:
- use the “Report” function that appears on or near a job advertisement, message thread, profile, business page or other relevant page; or
- email us at complaints@mylocaljobs.com.au.

3. How we handle violations of these Community Guidelines
If we find that you have violated these Community Guidelines, we will take appropriate action in a timely manner.
At our discretion, and depending on the nature of the violation, this may include (without limitation):
- issuing a warning;
- removing, or restricting access to, content;
- suspending or terminating your access to and use of the Platform or your account;
- restricting your access to certain features of the Platform (e.g. direct messaging); and
- referring the matter to appropriate authorities, including law enforcement.
